Fight #0060: NIN - Me, I'm Not - Going for a somewhat subdued industrial take on the the track.
Ran out of time for really extensive mods. Main contributions are:
- soft EQ isolation and pop (vocal forward) mix
- shortening efforts by chorus chopping (would have liked to done more)
- staggered bass drum intro
- guitar tone processing of main chorus line
- intensity building texture overlays during first minute (also would have liked to do more throughout)
DFF Sound System - The original was pretty rocking, so i didn’t need to change this too much, Just put my slant on it.
Fight #0060: NIN - Me, I'm Not - “What the Nanny State Machine lacks in musicianship, it makes up for in audacity. Nanny State Machine has processed this song so that you do not have to. Nanny State Machine only wants you to be happy”.
MC Jack in The Box - “if i take it all back, some way, some how. if i knew back then what i know right now.”
Fight #0060: NIN - Me, I'm Not - This song was assembled entirely from the NIN samples, which I sequenced through the 25 dollar stand-alone shareware softsynth Sawcuter 2.0. NIN and I listened to a lot of the same influences growing up, but they evolved into NIN and I became a middle-aged lawyer making weirdbient music. It’s a curious world.
MC Jack in The Box - bloody hell i was late. hope it was worth it.
DFF Sound System - bit rushed, but the idea’s there!
Rewind - Original loops + ambient samples by Freesound project contributors LG and fonogeno. Otherwise I stuck to the three tracks of the original, no extra instruments. Main problem was distinguishing the sirens in the track from the ones outside my window!
