Heuristics Inc. - I concentrated on only a few loops from the original song and transformed them. This mix reminds me of something…
Rinkydink - i really liked the original so i used quite a few of the original loops and i didn’t stray too far from the groove of the original, hope yas dig it
Prank Monkey - Bang bang.
Future Boy - I like to think I just gussied up the original track a bit. As the legendary Drew Tetz said, “it is like JBB +2.”
Fantastic Vamps - A pig with pointy feet, no tail, and the face of Erik Satie.
MC Jack in The Box - I tried to use the synth lead as a lead violin. and i’m pretty sure the vocal tracks line up ok so hopefully that will make Future Boy happy.”
Fantastic Vamps - Like a brain full of maggots.
MC Jack in The Box - I kept it short and sweet.
Prank Monkey - All Samples come from the original loopset.
fluffy porcupine - I decided to mix several different genres of loop together at once, having them infect one another into a single big fever-death.
Heuristics Inc. - Added a bit of funky treatment courtesy of Mr. Laswell. This is my first new music since the wedding, thus the name.
Nate MC - May increase toxicity of theophylline, warfarin, and digoxin; aluminum and/or magnesium antacids reduce effects; cyclosporine may cause nephrotoxicity and neurotoxicity. Photosensitivity may occur with prolonged exposure to sunlight or tanning equipment.
fluffy porcupine - OMG, it’s a conventional song-preserving mix by fluffy! I decided to fit the vocals into a major scale and turn it into a soulful piano ballad (using mostly stock GarageBand loops), though I used most of the original track’s percussion samples, and decided to work with the original vocal track’s backup spill (rather than remove it). There’s also a few guest samples from the recent Bill Berry fight.
Parallel 27 - A deephouse, trance mix of the tune, entirely in 3/4 measure! One two three, one two three. Original base of the track conceived for another contest on another forum (Dutch Synthforum.nl), blended it together with vocal outtakes from this remixfight.
Future Boy - Started with the goal of trying to sound like Air (the French band) and wound up with this. That’s a real Fender Rhodes, no samples, just my fingers on the keys.
Fight #0022: C. Layne - Dizzy Spells - My first mix. Took the samples, tortured them a bit and released them again.
Nate MC - I went for a dust brothers fight club score sound for this one, totally dropped the vocals becuase I felt this sounded better without any.
Parallel 27 - Worked on it for about a week, evenings mostly. Threw in a lot of foreign spices from the likes of Daft Punk, Robert Armani, Dandy Warhols and even a Jarre-esque melody in the middle. The result is a bassheavy clubtrack. I never made a clubtrack this slow (122bpm) since I normally work between 132-140 and 165-175 depending the genre. Had a lot of fun working on this track, the sample pack was really inspiring. Too bad I only had time for one mix

. Oh btw: Since May 4 is my Birthday -> happy birthday to me (yay!)
